Rujul's love affair with Music began when, as a child she used to hear her father play the Sitar and miraculously hum the notes to the utter disbelief and happiness of her parents.

After several years of training she has now developed in to a talented exponent of Hindustani Classical Vocal Music. For more than a decade now, she has been under the gifted guidance of Ustad Shaukat Hussain Khan, son of the legendary vocalist of Agra Atrauli Gharana, Late. Padmashri. Ustad Sharafat Hussain Khan at the well renowned Saptak School of Music in Ahmedabad.

Rujul comes from a culturally rich family background where all the members of the family are deeply passionate about music. She has also been learning music from her father since childhood.

Rujul's performances have that rare blend of creativity ("Upaj") and preparation ("Taiyyari"), which show in her flawless rendering of the Raag, complete with unhurried "aalap", intricate "taans" and all the other essentials of a Hindustani vocal recital. She constantly innovates and improvises to make her performances appealing.

She has got a number of reviews for her performances.

Even at a very young age, Rujul has won numerous awards. Her foremost accomplishments include the prestigious Pt. Omkarnath Thakur award for young talents given by the Gujarat Sangeet Natak Academy, India; Performances at the Nehru Centre of Performing Arts, The celebrated Annual Saptak National Festivals and the internationally renowned Darpana Academy.

Rujul is also an accredited artist of All India Radio. She was given a AIR grading and judged by a panel of judges, comprising of the stalwarts of Indian Classical music. Four years back, she also excelled in the All India Radio (AIR) National competition bagging the first position in their National AIR talent search competition for young classical music performers.

Rujul also has to her credit, University Youth festival awards for the "Best Performer" in the entire West Zone of India (Over 80 universities participated). She has also performed at the well acclaimed Swami Haridas Sangeet Sammelan. Rujul has been conferred the coveted title of "SURMANI".
